Kerry is a consultant with extensive experience working with Australian and internationally based organisations on major projects. She has experience in Employee, Stakeholder and Industrial Relations and now focuses on leadership coaching and team development.

After a career of more than 25 years in advisory and management roles in Qld, WA and NZ, Kerry established her consulting business in 2007, along with a move to the beautiful Cassowary Coast in North Queensland.

Kerry works with large organisations and small businesses to assist them in optimising and developing their leaders and teams. Her expertise is in design and facilitation of leadership development programs, professional coaching, team building, conflict management, communications and employee engagement.

Kerry also has accreditation to use psychology tools which focus on self-awareness and to help people understand the impact of their behaviours and communications on others and the businesses they work in.

Know L’Edge commenced in 2002 as a consultancy and research business that works collaboratively with business owners and managers to keep their businesses healthy, help the businesses grow and, when needed, revitalise the business with a new focus and energy. 

For local governments the assistance is on economic development, tourism, and strategic planning. Know L’Edge also conducts market and social research in Australia and NZ.  Julia is a qualified and accredited researcher. 

Based primary in Western Australia and now in Queensland, Know L’Edge has clients around Australia in retail, tourism, hospitality, manufacturing, ITC, all levels of government, mining, not for profits and professional associations. Know L’Edge supports micro and small businesses with low cost and pro bono services where possible.

Julia is a sought after conference speaker, workshop facilitator and  provides tailored training on a range of business and research topics for a range of professional bodies including the Property Council, Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Market & Social Research Society. She is the author of two successful business books. Know L’Edge has won several State and National awards, with their clients, for marketing and research.

Ourania Conomos

Ourania has a background in accounting and teaching. In 1985 she graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree majoring in Accounting. After having worked in the banking sector for a number of years, Ourania then went on to further her studies and complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Education. Being a registered teacher and holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment has enabled Ourania to work as a Business Teacher in the local TAFE system for 14 years and also to register as a relief teacher at local high schools. 

Since leaving TAFE she has continued with her passion for teaching by commencing Tropic Training Solutions in 2014. Tropic Training Solutions offers short courses in computing and business skills to individuals and also businesses. Courses offered include Basic Computing, Internet & Email, Word, Excel, MYOB, Customer Service, Website Management and Facebook Basics.

I established my business in May, 2016 and am proud of the strong start I have had. I sell the Arbonne product range, through either one on one meetings with clients or through group presentations. 

Alternatively I can provide guidance to anyone interested in building their own successful business through access to the Arbonne Network. 

There are over 450 Arbonne product lines, including skin care, nutrition, detox, cosmetics, weight management, personal care, baby products, sunscreen etc. What I love about Arbonne is the products are better, safer and healthier.

I have recently joined the CCBWN to meet like-minded people. People that are driven and excited about what life can offer. I hope being a part of this network helps me to expand my own business network and help with furthering my professional and personal development.

Janice Lynn

After relocating to Mission Beach, I established my business, lynIN interior planning | design | coordination in 2014.  As a designer with 20 years experience in a range of commercial fitout, hospitality and multi residential interior design projects and working in national and multi disciplinary architectural design firms, lynIN was created as a boutique studio.

My aim has been to provide both design excellence and a professional design service to clients in the Cassowary Coast and far north Queensland regions. A collaborative and process focussed approach with clients provides a platform from which to create distinct, responsive, functional and dynamic environments for living and working.

Working solo, after being part of a team environment for so many years, I became a member of the CCBWN two years ago with my prime motive to seek opportunities to network with other local business women.  What I found was an organisation and members that provide a supportive environment and opportunities to drill into the what, why and how of my business in a constructive and relaxed atmosphere.

Hello my name is Kerryn Thompson. I have lived in Melbourne all my life. Up until fairly recently I thought that would continue. I have been employed by Bendigo and Adelaide bank for more than 20 years. During that time I have worked in many different roles, including the branch network, Branch State Support area; and Business Banking.

Last year I started to look for new possibilities. I was sick of the grind of traveling, and the cold, cold Melbourne winters. When looking at the internal job vacancies this wonderful opportunity floated over the computer screen - Branch Manager at Mission Beach in Far North Queensland. From there it started a chain of events and a journey which has led my husband and I to relocate to beautiful Mission Beach.

Anita Darveniza

I was born in Geelong Victoria. 27yrs ago I visited a friend on Dunk Island only to end up working/living there for 4 years, never to return to Vic.

I started my working life as an Interior Decorator in the late 70’s. Since then I have worked in many different areas such as Banking, Payroll, Office Admin in a few industries, Wait & Bar work.

I currently work for Vandeleur & Todd Solicitors as an Accounts Manager.
